The Little Big Vintage Market

Posted by Barb Hudson on

Saturday's Little Big Market started quietly but that soon changed and it was great fun...lots of lovely people to talk to, cute kids who wanted to buy pendants with money they had saved, and the possibility of some future commissions. The interaction and ability to have a place to get feedback and get this range of jewellery and accessories seen (scoods, beanies and hair-clips amongst other things)  gives us a great base which is added to by more of this jewellery and also the more designer range which is at Creative Tauranga.

This was the first outing for the range of rings we've added to our market and creative lines and they looked pretty cute presented standing up in a bed of rice... great idea when we hadn't organised how we were going to display them! they were tried on  a lot and we sold some more to add to those sold during the week...they were a trial but have been really well received so I guess they'll be here to stay. We'll probably try a few different sized settings over the summer season, giving options to both personal preference and also acknowledging that hand and finger size can be quite variable. We have them in silver , antique silver, gun-metal and brass settings ...something for any taste!

Unfortunately the lovely picture of the Port of Mt Maunganui is not ours though we often have people wanting us to sell it to them...it belongs to the senior citizens hall where the market is held and while I used to remove it I actually quite like it, so lately I've left it there... it's a great talking point for a vintage and retro market!
