More from the creative weekend...first rings, then covers!

Creating different individual embroideries is hugely enjoyable... deciding the colour combinations and the positioning, and seeing how far I can let my sense of humour meander also finds favour...However I'll have to admit that the finishing ..in this case making covers...not so much..in fact I put the moment off until I really HAVE to get on and stop putting the job off, procrastinating and diverting into more interesting ventures.. Its crazy really as once I start and get on a run they are actually quite therapeutic to do, it gives great thinking time (as long as I've done all the measuring and cutting out...

Cutest crochet slippers for littlies

This simple slipper pattern is sure to become a favourite in our family... Simply constructed with 3 differing sized squares they could also have soles attached to make them last a little longer... I've found they can be very simply resized once you have am a couple of pairs... Right up to adult size. If you'd like the pattern just comment or message me.

Starting the great catch-up.

So the lack of posts since September last year has not meant that the life for Barisa has been bland, boring and not filled with design and crafty activity. Barisa has been uber-busy creating, filling commissions and making new stock for the markets which have managed to stretch from one a month at this time last year to at least two a month now. There have also been frequent extras which are usually collaborations between The Little Big Markets... who we support... and other entities, Tauranga City Council, National Jazz Festival, Papamoa Holiday Camp... not forgetting the amazing people who invited us to...
