Barisa — Market

More from the creative weekend...first rings, then covers!

Creating different individual embroideries is hugely enjoyable... deciding the colour combinations and the positioning, and seeing how far I can let my sense of humour meander also finds favour...However I'll have to admit that the finishing ..in this case making covers...not so much..in fact I put the moment off until I really HAVE to get on and stop putting the job off, procrastinating and diverting into more interesting ventures.. Its crazy really as once I start and get on a run they are actually quite therapeutic to do, it gives great thinking time (as long as I've done all the measuring and cutting out...

The weekends activity will take a week to relay!

Wow what a weekend, no market but there was so much to do and it was a pretty diverse couple of days which will take all of this week to relay! There is something lovely about the atmosphere and vibe of the Vintage Market.. even the slightly unloved hall with the very retro if not vintage furniture is most appropriate...

Stamping combinations for individuality

Posted by 2 on

Imagine having the option, or ability to choose whatever words you want to have on a pendant of stacking rings in shiny or antique copper, aluminium or brass (I'll see how we go with stainless steel!). Being able to stand and select the unique combination which says just what you want to say....or perhaps means something significant to a friend as a very special gift. Even going one step further and commissioning exactly what you want! We are trialling this ...have compiled a long list of possible words and will have them at the markets... Ready to compile and hang on...
