...Necessity seems to be the mother of 'making do' There I was,  literally stuck with glue on my hands this afternoon, trying to do too many things at once, and the stands for holding elements while the glue set just too far away to grab immediately...so it was a case of using what was nearest to hand, to prop up this wee wooden bird before it set in its place amongst the roses. Needless to say this is not how it will end up... once set it will have a little glass globe over it and then will morph into a pendant. Should...

Stamping combinations for individuality

Imagine having the option, or ability to choose whatever words you want to have on a pendant of stacking rings in shiny or antique copper, aluminium or brass (I'll see how we go with stainless steel!). Being able to stand and select the unique combination which says just what you want to say....or perhaps means something significant to a friend as a very special gift. Even going one step further and commissioning exactly what you want! We are trialling this ...have compiled a long list of possible words and will have them at the markets... Ready to compile and hang on...

Mustache Man Pendant

Here's the first of the Mustache Man Series. The media used is... from the back... stainless steel, metallic leather, brass and perspex. The cold connection rivets are hollow and the brass pins through them which wiggle a little and make them look more like eyes, are curled at the back to make carriers for the gun metal ball and chain necklace.The metallic leather has quite a bronze effect which shows off the brass mustache and rivets most effectively. Both the stainless steel and perspex have gently shaped corners and  the perspex has rounded sides. The pendant measures 5.5 cm by 12.5 cm...
