More from the creative weekend...first rings, then covers!

Posted by 2 on

Creating different individual embroideries is hugely enjoyable... deciding the colour combinations and the positioning, and seeing how far I can let my sense of humour meander also finds favour...However I'll have to admit that the finishing ..in this case making covers...not so much..in fact I put the moment off until I really HAVE to get on and stop putting the job off, procrastinating and diverting into more interesting ventures.. Its crazy really as once I start and get on a run they are actually quite therapeutic to do, it gives great thinking time (as long as I've done all the measuring and cutting out...

The weekends activity will take a week to relay!

Posted by 2 on

Wow what a weekend, no market but there was so much to do and it was a pretty diverse couple of days which will take all of this week to relay! We decided to trial both silver and gun-metal plating with a 2.5cm picture. We had only ordered twenty settings ten of each colour so it was a...

Crochet... a bright spot on a winters day

Posted by 2 on

On a day that ended up being pretty cold and uninspiring it was fun to finish the second half of this scarf. Rows of open trebles interspersed with pops of contrasting colours done in double crochet (or double and single crochet respectively if you are from the USA).. the teal, rust, ginger and dark brown 'pop' a little more than is obvious in the photo and the final scarf is about 1.20 metres long... Hopefully the edges of the wool will gradually fray out a little. The scarf has a pretty useable combination of colours... it should complement most outfits.
