Tomorrow will be pretty busy with the set-up for the market being one in the afternoon and the market then running from three until eight. Lovely event to have in the middle of winter though...here's hoping that the weather doesn't discourage people from coming out and enjoying the afternoon/evening.

Quirky embroidered cushion series

My quirky cushion... the first one in a series.... sold to a lovely lady at the vintage market... She rushed up, said she had to have it as a gift for a friend, and while she wasn't planning on spending so much she knew she was buying something original and special. As with some of the other items we had at the market it was a new cushion I designed and made with a vintage image of a pointing hand and 1920's 30's lettering. Wee Mexican Skull Softie

This is one a group of softies ready for the market on Saturday... at only about 120 mm tall they are really cute and belie the thinking that skulls are gruesome! Made of felt, they come with their own little chain hanger from the top (in the same silver thread as the blanket stitch surround...not shown) which can easily be removed if it's not wanted.
