Cross a Scarf with a Hood and your question is pretty much given the short answer. The 'Scood' has the benefits of both..... without trailing ends and adding the benefit of retaining warmth while looking good, whether you are using it in scarf mode or needing an ear warming hood... if you need to breathe through something in bitterly cold weather it's also pretty good for that too! This is the latest in a line of scarves evolving into something else... last year I knitted lots of infinity circle scarves, and some of them... through the looseness of the stitches...

Today's Little Vintage Market was great... lovely people, both the ones who bought things from us and those who just stopped to chat. Our neighbouring stand was run by two lovely ladies who were a laugh a minute and reminded us of the 'Golden Girls' The one liners simply never stopped and they were all funny. Progress of sorts

Since that first market day we have finished the summer season and are up to the second of the winter markets. From July this will means a normal little big market in the sports hall on the first Saturday if the month and the little vintage markets at the senior citizens club on the third Saturday of the month. Wee Mexican Skull Softie

This is one a group of softies ready for the market on Saturday... at only about 120 mm tall they are really cute and belie the thinking that skulls are gruesome! Made of felt, they come with their own little chain hanger from the top (in the same silver thread as the blanket stitch surround...not shown) which can easily be removed if it's not wanted.
